The Bees // Concorde2

Speculating the forth coming evening over a couple of beers in St James street, I envisaged the ultimate line up for a night like this: The Hives, The Bees and head lining STING!…. you had to bee there (sorry, no pun intended). I wondered if the band would open up with Muddy Waters “King Bee” [...]

I’m not 100% sure what people were [...]

Arriving at around the usual time of 12:00 it was easy to see the night was going to be spacious to say the least. Don’t get me wrong I’m not going to start complaining about how a club should be ram-packed every night. Oh no. [...]

Juliette & The Licks // Concorde2

From the second she struts on stage shimmering in spandex trousers Jane Fonda would be proud of, Juliette Lewis commands the crowd. Although to many the move from indie comedy ‘it kid’ to rock ‘n’ roll countess seems novel, the singer and her merry gaggle of ‘licks’ have been busy performing hundreds of small shows [...]

Adam Freeland + Evil Nine // Concorde2

Photos by Marek Richter
When you see such dance music pioneers as Orbitals Phil Hartnol in the crowd set to watch Adam Freeland and Evil Nine rip up, then you know your in for something special. So it was a highly anticipated night, everyone was nicely sauced, the ‘Pill’ had returned from his american adventures…It was [...]
