Glad you liked it! It’s a few years off. Surely now most events are on facebook, I’d say, although I wish there was a better way of keeping up to date. Sick of getting 30+ messages in my FB inbox, most of them about nights on that I don’t always want to go to. I’m hoping the technology will help us out here !!

Thanks for letting us know. Party Brighton is a misleading name. The site doesn’t look like it’s going to unfold into a listings site, but just a promo for their specific nites. Unless someone knows something I don’t know.

Thanks for listing us Amy. Although the editor mentions that it is “just flyers” you will find that some promoters make the effort to send us a press release which can go with the flyer. You will also see that we don’t have any dead-end searches, out-of-date venues or events for last year (like some listings sites I could mention). Of course there is the massive flyer archive if you want to re-live that night out, again and again and again…..

I’m trying to build a useful events resource for people of all ages and persuasions while at the same time supporting the production of original artwork. If we all got our listings by text or e-mail we’d be swamped with hundreds of homeless designers clogging up the Laines begging for Special Brew and nobody wants to see that. Do they?

You forgot to mention the brightonlife forums. We’ve pointed many a person to venues that suit their requirements. i.e “We’re a group of lads on a stag night, where shall we go?” Answer “you want to try a club called revenge, it’s rammed with babes”

“The What’s on guide” is the little printed guide which has been round town for years. Not bad at all really. The website could do with a tweak though.

… I went on it and ordered the guide to my door – they sent me the one for the wrong month. Ah well, no need to be lazy pick one up in town.
