Brighton City Festival

PRESS RELEASE: Brighton City Festival Oct 25th ft 2manydjs, Laurent Garnier etc

Brighton City Festival turns the beachfront and city streets into a temporary festival sight on October 25th, playing host to 100 acts in 14 arenas in a day and night event. One wristband will provide entry to 10 different venues all within 500 meters of each other in what will be the biggest one day festival ever to take place in the city.

Artists include 2Many DJs, Soulwax Nite Versions, Tim Westwood, Laurent Garnier, Underground Resistance, Babyshambles, DJ Hype, Green Velvet, Roll Deep, Mampi Swift, Green Velvet, Grooverider and many many more.

The event will run from 4pm to 4am, with the party starting early with local talent at pubs and bars around the town. Then the action moves to the clubs with venues including the huge 1,800 capacity Tru, a range of medium-sized clubs including the award-winning Ocean Rooms, the brand new Digital, Concorde 2, The Beach and The Arc. Smaller, intimate venues such as The King & Queen will also be used for more eclectic musical styles. Because of the venues’ close proximity to each other it will be easy to switch between them without a mad dash through town, making for a real festival atmosphere. 7,000 people will enjoy the event headlined by 2 Many DJs and Soulwax Nite Versins. A plethora of other arenas will highlight musical styles from across the spectrum, including:

Drum and bass with Adam F, Mampi Swift and DJ Hype

Techno with Laurent Garnier, Underground Resistance (live) and Green Velvet

Urban with Tim Westwood, Roll Deep, Rodney P and Skitz and Cameo

Indie and electro with DJ sets from Futureheads, Babyshambles and the Mystery Jets.

Plus, Billy Nasty, Jim Masters, Mitchell Brothers, The Streetlife DJs, Professor Green, Tommy Four Seven, Randall, Dillinja, King Roc, Late of the Pier, Jon Kahuna, Neon, Big Daddy, Element, Bryan G, Trip, Kidz in the Hall, IC3, Punks Jump Up, Det, Riotous Rockers , Kid Acne, Fearless, Greg Wilson, Infadels, Bailey, DJ Andy (Brazil) The Mystery Jets, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly and many more being confirmed every day.

Although the lineup may be huge, the cost is not, with a staggering £15 per ticket, making it the most affordable festival that you will get to this year. If you live in Brighton, get prepared for the takeover. If you don’t, get the Friday off work, book a hotel room and get yourself down to the town for a hedonistic long weekend by the seaside.

Tickets are on sale online at: www.brightonticketshop.com and wwww.ticketweb.co.uk
