This Thursday is a double whammy for music lovers in Brighton.

Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac hits Brighton beachfront club Digital with very very special guests, the ultra-mysterious hyped up producer Fakeblood, with live performances from UK’s disco sweatheart Little Boots and Italian disco maestros Heartbreak performing live, along with Doorly.

I don’t know who these people are putting on big massive shows on a school night, but if one wasn’t enough, there’s also the Kitsune night over at Concorde2. If you’re smart, clever or quick, you could probably do both. I know a few people who will be teleporting themselves a la Star Trek. Actually, why hasn’t someone invented that yet?

Little Boots

Don’t be put off by the fact that Little Boot’s myspace status: “post neu rave”. She’s good stuff – I saw her at the Somewhere in the Universe’s 2nd birthday party at New Hero – the place was heaving, choked with rake thin gay boys, and she was a stunning singer, well worth the crowd she got.

Fakeblood

Fake Blood’s a relatively new electro/house blog music phenomenon and the fact that he’s not letting on about his identity has made for a funny blog entry on his myspace, I AM NOT BOY 8-BIT

Go to the post to see the replies though – they’re hilarious. Okay, identity notwithstanding, who cares who he is? It’s a good marketing trick, but I’m not too fussed if the music can speak for itself – which it does.

Fakeblood’s recent single release “Mars” I swear to god is on everyone’s mixtapes at the moment – it is EVERYWHERE. That and “Blood Spashing (Fake Blood Theme)” are both on the Cheap Thrills label, which is run by Hervé & Sinden.
