Brighton’s live music scene will get a much needed shot in the arm this coming weekend as Belushi’s Below club launches a new monthly rock night. In association with Penflick studios, who produce a regular podcast promoting unsigned bands based in Brighton , the night will give an opportunity for bands to showcase themselves at a decent venue in a central location.

Milton, owner of Penflick studios and co-promoter for the event said:

The live music scene has changed drastically in such a short period of time with key venues closing, and other promoters losing interest, Brighton bands are struggling to find places to play their music.  With such a high concentration of great new music in one place, it is essential that the city continues to support the live music scene.

The launch event on Friday 13th February will be headlined by progressive rock/grunge outfit MessedupJoey, with support from the quirky Dates and the indie/reggae Adam Kidd Band Doors open at 9.00pm and entry is £4
