Writers’ Hub main interview is with Brighton scriptwriter Sarah Naomi Lee, a BBC radio producer who’s first lucky break into Radio 4 broadcast was with her radio play “I can see you”, which tells the story of a mixed race woman who has three voices inside her head: a Jamaican man, a white English woman – and the sadly recently deceased Michael Jackson, who passed away yesterday.

Beachdown Festival to not allow alcohol purchased off-site
The organizers of Brighton’s Beachdown Festival have announced, via their website, that they will not be allowing alcohol purchased off-site. If you are going then prepare to take a few more pennies with you as this could raise the overall cost of the event by a fair amount. GRIT LIT: Tara Gould reads short story “Little Birds”
Again, another writer featured from the Brighton Festival fringe night Grit Lit at the Red Roaster. Here is Tara Gould’s short story “Little Birds”, which is the story of Grace, a woman who’s alcoholic father has just died and she must return home to comfort her mother. The story explores Grace’s conflicting feelings for the man she despised, yet mourns and sketches out the tragic life he led. Ultimately Grace must confront herself in the face of losing a person who is irevocably flesh and blood – her father.
Norman’s Big Beach Boutique 5 Cancelled
The change from free party to commercial venture – mixed with high ticket costs, poor sound and inaccessible location have not helped the reputation of the event develop. While the original Beach Boutique parties are remembered with disbelief and are stuff of legend, the recent incarnations would probably not be too missed.

[ July 10, 2009 10:00 pm to July 11, 2009 4:00 am. ] back when electro, was more electro-clash than electro breaks, house, or whatever genre they attach to it now. Electro-clash was a genre within itself. Spearheaded by the likes of Felix, Miss Kittin, Vitalic, Fischerspooner, Peaches, Tiga, Adult, Black Strobe, Chicks on Speed etc… it was something new and exciting at the time.
