Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it
– Ferris Bueller
We’re hugely excited to announce the opening of LIFE, a new club/bar venue that promises to shake up Brighton seafront.
Built on the site adjacent to The Fortune of War, LIFE is operated by the same team that transformed the old Escape into Audio to great acclaim between 2004 and 2008, and more recently, oversaw the re-launch of Jam (formerly Sumo on Middle St.).
We’ve spent the last few months tearing the building apart and rebuilding it into what we believe will quickly become the most exciting mid-size club in town. Day or night, LIFE aims to offer the ultimate seafront venue experience, whether inside the extensively re-developed club, or on our glorious sun terrace – one of the largest in Brighton.
As well as major redesign of the interior, LIFE is now installed with a pumping soundsystem made by German engineers D&B, with a state of the art LED lighting system supplied by the same company that fitted legendary London club The End. And as you’d expect, we’re working with some of the best promoters in town to make the most of the space.
On Saturdays, fans of much-loved weekly indie night Hold Up will be happy to hear that it’s going to continue at Life every week.
Fridays will see the launch of Daft Life, a new weekly party dedicated to alt.dance, indie-leaning house and firing electro.
And finally, our new Sunday evening Maxxi Soundsystem sessions take a turn towards disco with a new weekly event hosted by Schtumm!’s Sam Watts and friends – stay tuned for further info on specific nights in the coming weeks.
By day, we’ll be serving an impressive selection of quality drinks and cocktails on the terrace, as well as a lip-smacking stonebaked pizza menu, using homemade bases and locally sourced ingredients. In our opinion, there will be no finer place to enjoy Brighton beach.
Life does indeed move pretty fast – get on board.
