Donky Pitch is back yet again with another heavy hitting night of high quality electronic beat mastery.  This one is their 1st Birthday Party so all the stops have been pulled and the holds certainly are not barred!  With a line up consisting of various members of the Donky extended family as well as a couple of specially acquired headliners for the evening, this will be a night not to be missed. It’s their second night since moving to the Volks and while the Jazz Place will be missed by some, the beefier Volks soundsystem gives everyone the opportunity take it to that next level.

Fulgeance is a busy man: he co-runs Musique Large with former DP headliner dEbruit, makes beats under Souleance & Peter Digital Orchestra and has had beats on numerous labels including the faultless All City 7×7 series & the now legendary Beat Dimensions compilation. For some time, we’ve been enviously ogling videos on You Tube of Fulgeance banging out twisted hip hop rhythms at parties around the world. He keeps it traditional, using an MPC2000 – the classic hip hop beat machine we have to beg / borrow / steal especially for the occasion. But his sound is firmly rooted in the dreamy electronic pastures of Donky Pitch.

Born & raised in the heart of Skweeedom, Randy’s early tracks on Flogsta Danshall & Harmonia Records in 2006 laid the groundwork for all of the minimal synth n bass funk that has followed. Undoubtedly one of the stars of the ‘We Call It Skweee’ documentary we showed in January this year (”Making Skweee is like when you learn how to masturbate – one day you just start doing it nature will help you find a way”). Mr Barracuda is an early innovator, a forefather, (truly) a legend of the scene. For his Brighton debut he brings with him a full live hardware show – a rare and delicious treat.
