Whats the deal
How It All Started
Brighton Fusion has been running as an online magazine since 2004. Since its formation it’s stuck to its guns, offering non biased, honest articles about Brighton-based events and nightlife.
The concept of Fusion came about from conversations with like-minded individuals. Something seemed wrong with Brighton’s club scene: there were good nights, but the hard working quality purveyors did not get fitting recognition.
Brighton Fusion was born to spread the word of a better type of clubbing in Brighton. It’s doesn’t all have to be about WKD’s, Yates, horrid music and money-scrounging students. Brighton has so much more to offer. Today in 2008 the purpose of Fusion remains unchanged.

Brighton Fusion has a tight team of dedicated writers and photographers, but we’re always looking for more people to get involved – whether you’re into your dub, indie, new wave or new rave, we want to make sure that we get as many angles of Brighton night life covered. That’s where you fit in.
Photographers: send us 5 shots from any gig or club night you’ve been to in Brighton, type of camera you use and tell us the kind of nights you might cover.
Writers: send us a 300-500 word review of a night you’ve been to recently and also what kind of music you’re into.
We ask that contributors try to post three or four times a month minimum.
We’re also always happy to feature Brighton bands, musicians, DJs, and nights, providing our editorial team give it a thumbs up. Bung us your stuff in an email and we’ll check it out:

ALL CONTRIBUTORS: please send your name, contact details and the above submission requirements to : contribute (at) our url.
And we will promise to get back as soon as humanly possible!
Artistic Manifesto
From the outset, everyone involved with Fusion was sure of one thing: quality must be paramount. From well-written articles and posts to photos of clear distinction. You will never find a set of 30 photos, out of focus and just of the crowd. Our shots are taken to convey the atmosphere of the night at hand – the people, the music, the venue – but with an artistic aesthetic.
All our photographers use state-of-the-art Canon camera equipment. The website is an online portfolio for our snappers and we offer their services at very reasonable rates.
We try not to take ourselves THAT seriously, but come on, it’s not a bad thing to have standards these days is it?
Listings Disclaimer
If you don’t like what you see here, that’s cool – but please bear in mind that Brighton Fusion is not meant to be a comprehensive listings service like the Brighton What’s On Guide or the Source.
We list nights that we like or are particularly note-worthy, providing we have time away from our day jobs. If your night isn’t listed, why not get in touch?
Legal Disclaimer
Brighton Fusion holds no responsibility for the views or opinions expressed about a band, club, dj, night by one of our writers, providing these statements are not defamatory (libelous) in the eyes of English or European law. Please get in touch if you have a major issue with a particular review, but we reserve the right to decide if the post should stay up.
All music (mp3s, etc) featured on the site is done so with the permission of the artist in question unless the music has been sourced in the public domain. Get in touch if you think there’s a problem.
If you think our reviews or photos are shit or aren’t what you were looking for, why not get involved? Otherwise www.dontstayin.com is available anytime.
