The Field // Audio // 11/10/09
The Field delivered a cracking early show at Brighton’s Audio on Wednesday. So much so that it left me feeling annoyed at having to go home in preparation for work the next day. It’s sad I know but the pain of midweek adventures outweighs the pleasures these days. This would have been a perfect Friday / Saturday slot filler… the hour long gig could have so easily have fitted into an entire night.
The Field Live @ Audio
[ November 11, 2009; 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. ] Audio have lined up The Field, aka Axel Willner, to perform a live show at the venue in November. To my dismay it’s an early show – something I’ve never really been a fan of. I prefer to have the whole evening to enjoy not to climax quickly and toddle off home. Saying that it is on a weekday – maybe it’s a safer choice after all.

Together – 42 DJs b2b for cancer research @ Audio
[ July 24, 2009 10:00 pm to July 25, 2009 4:00 am. ] Hi everyone, please support this night. The fundraisers are trying to raise £5,000 pounds entirely through club and music nights, all of which goes to Cancer Research. So far they’ve raised £3,200. For this night, they’re taking over all of Audio, with 42 DJs back to back – 10pm to 4am, all for £5 donation on the door. It’s a mad feat to get this many egos and personalities together and will be an even more impressive music-crammed night to get through. Should be a hell of a ride!
The Arc reopening as Life
As well as major redesign of the interior, LIFE is now installed with a pumping soundsystem made by German engineers D&B, with a state of the art LED lighting system supplied by the same company that fitted legendary London club The End. And as you’d expect, we’re working with some of the best promoters in town to make the most of the space.
Greg Wilson @ Audio
[ July 17, 2009 11:00 pm to July 18, 2009 4:00 am. ] Electro-Funk’s legacy is huge. It announced the computer age and seduced a generation with its drum machines, synthesizers, sequencers, dub mixes, bonus beats and samples… Its influences lay not only with Kraftwerk, the Human League and Gary Numan
