Here’s one to keep the message boards chatting. It has been over half a decade since John Digweed last played in Brighton and Digital have got in there and got him booked. Brighton residents will remember Digweed’s Bedrock Records night which used to take place at the now defunct Beach club. That’s Brighton Coalition to all the students and new comers! No doubt this will be a welcome return for Brighton’s many lost progressive house fans – the majority of which have been wallowing in self pity since the nights demise. Digweed was voted the world’s number one DJ by DJ Mag’s top 100 list in 2001, remaining in the top 10 for the past decade. Although there are no guarantees that the voters involved are not retarded, we can at least take solace in the fact that it’s not Mixmag.

Digweed will be joined on the night by Scott Bradford. Bradford and DJ partner Scooby are the founders of Digital Newcastle’s Shindig night.
