June 6, 2009 10:00 pm to June 7, 2009 4:00 am. ] The six-hour fun-a-thon is part of their month-long party to celebrate their third year of existence – Brighton is but part of a long chain of cities, with musically-hedonistic parties burning in London, Paris (Social Club), and Bristol (Start the Bus), with guests including Joakim, Optimo, Noob, Alexander Robotnick, Matt Walsh and the Friendly Fires!

I’ve not walked down Audio’s stairs for what seems like ages, and being there again, I can safely say that I’ve missed the place. It did, after all, used to feel like a second home. Stompa Phunk ruled and every weekend was a sure hotspot for quality music with a likeminded crowd. But like all good things, it had to come to an end.

It’s back after a successful kick off last year! The Brighton City Festival is a creation of Ocean Room’s head man Ben Gill, boasting three days of events across various Brighton venues.

It’s a varied event with international artists, not so much promoting Brighton talent, but showing off the pull of the town itself.
